To be honest, the word "ledger" used to sound very technical and distant to me — just an accounting book or something like that. But after reading this publication, I realised that in modern banking and fintech, a ledger is actually the heart of the system: a database where every transaction, debit, credit, balance, and movement of money is recorded, from the collection of commissions to the repayment of loans.
